This position will require a person who is willing to take responsibility and ownership of the transportation of residents to our facility from other facilities and to and from follow up medical appointments in a courteous and timely manner. This person will be a key member of the City Creek Team in that they will provide a positive impression of our facility and impeccable communication to the medical offices in the community. The most successful candidate will develop caring relationships with the patients and practice quality customer service with residents and their families taking the role of patient advocate when necessary.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE RESOURCE – Salt Lake City, UTAH
As a highly visible, accessible and dedicated member of our service team, the primary purpose of this position is to train and assist business office managers on billing, collecting and recording revenue transactions in the skilled nursing/long term care industry, covering and serving facilities in the Salt Lake City area. The resource will be based in one of the local Salt Lake City area locations and will be expected to travel to various locations in the state as well as outside the state.

Assist business office manager, office staff and any related department in the development and use of accounting policies and procedures, and establish a rapport in and between departments so that each can realize the importance of accurate reporting procedures.
Monitor internal controls to assure compliance with established procedures related to accounts receivable.
Schedule and participate in facility Medicare Triple Check Meetings and HMO Meetings.
Monitor accounts receivables. Participate in monthly aging reviews. Initiate an action plan and present to the Manger and Executive Director.
Expert knowledge on software system used in the LTC industry. Ability to train staff on software systems and processes.
Develop and utilize computer reports and output as required.
Monitor the workflow process within the system, and alerting appropriate organizational resources.
Equipped with positive problem solving mindset.

Personnel Functions:

Assist in the recruitment and selection of competent business office billing personnel.
Review and check competence of the business office work force and make necessary adjustments/corrections as required or that may become necessary.

Staff Development:

Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc., to keep abreast of current changes in the home health and hospice field, as well as to maintain a professional status.
Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment.

• Ensures that physical and environmental conditions of the facility meet the established standards and any applicable laws
• Maintains resident rooms in good repair with all operational equipment
• Leads and manages maintenance staff if applicable
• Maintains all HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems in good repair and in compliance with all state and federal life and safety regulations
• Is proactive in expense control and budget adherence
• Manages third party vendors as necessary on projects that cannot be handled by maintenance staff
• Keeps updated on new regulations and restrictions concerning maintenance procedures and/or health, life safety and environment
• Assists with maintenance of current emergency action procedures and plans
• Arranges testing and inspections of all equipment and life safety systems

About the Opportunity

• Provides direct nursing care to our residents.
• Informs nursing staff of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room and assignment.
• Makes rounds with physicians as appropriate.
• Consults with resident's physician in providing the resident's care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc...
• Notifies the resident's physician when the resident is involved in an accident or incident.
• Carries out restorative and rehabilitative programs, to include self help and care.
• Administers services within the applicable scope of nursing practice, which may include: catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy, and drainage bags, taking blood, giving massages and range of motion exercises and caring for the dead or dying in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Admits, transfers and discharges residents.
• Meets with residents, and/or family members as appropriate.
• Prepares and administers medications as ordered by physician.
• Verifies the identity of the resident before administering the medication or treatment.
• Receives and records telephone orders and documents the prescribed treatments on the resident charts, cardex, medication cards and/or treatment.care plans as appropriate.
• Charts nurses' notes in a professional and appropriate manner that timely, accurately and thoroughly reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident's response to the care.
• Charts all reports of accidents/incidents involving residents.
• Charts all changes in the resident's condition and the response to those changes and communications with the resident's physician regarding the resident and the resident's treatment.
• Records new/changed diet orders and communicates the information to the Dietary department.
• Completes transfer forms in accordance with established procedures.
• Signs and dates all entries made in the resident's medical record.
• Reviews care plans daily to verify that appropriate care is rendered.
• Ensures that the assigned certified nursing assistants (CNAs) are aware of the resident care plans.
